Mod2 Storm Troopers - 5" Optimized 147 gr Match Loads
So why ST Ammo? My goal is to provide performance shooters with high-quality loads that are accurate, reliable, low-recoil, and affordable. Like in all business I can't promise to be both the cheapest and the best, but what I can promise is provide you with the same blend of these qualities that I choose to shoot myself.A note on transparency... A huge thing I look for in ammo is consistency. When you order ammo, you want to know that it's exactly like the previous batch you ordered, no surprises. I've used "match grade" ammo from smaller companies in the past with great results, but consistency has been the downfall. Especially since the pandemic, component availability and pricing will often force loaders to change the components they use. I'm sure we will be no different. The trouble is, you usually have no idea what components are being used, and when changes are made. So maybe you've tested a product extensively and found it to be reliable, but then you pick up the next box to run at a major and surprise surprise, it's different. So here's my promise, the recipe for my loads will be posted. If I'm forced or choose to make changes, the new recipe will be posted under a different mod.

MOD 2 DETAILS
TLDR, if you aren't shooting USPSA majors, this stuff is softer than Mod1, get this. USPSA shooters read on.
To be completely honest, the USPSA certified ammo program doesn't really make sense, but since it exists we have to use it. It's impossible to manufacture a load that is both "soft" and also guarantee to make power factor out of any gun, chamber and barrel length. Some manufacturers tend to lean towards making ammo soft and seem not to care that shooters are often getting sub-minor results at majors. In the interest of being completely above board I loaded Mod1's with the idea of making PF out of G19, unlike much of my competition. This of course probably made it a touch hotter than some other options.
I didn't want to simply make Mod1's softer, so instead I came up with a brand new solution and got approval. This load is certified for 5" + barrels ONLY. If you have a shorter barrel with a tight chamber this might still make PF out of your gun, but you will not have the certified guarantee. But if you are shooting a long slide gun, I think this load is the obvious choice for you.

Ammo will run great in all factory setups so far. For competitors that care, here is the expected power factors for various tested barrels. Please note that up to a 5 power factor swing has been observed simply by changing barrel brands in the same gun, so your results may vary and should be tested. If you are attending a match that chrono's but is not a USPSA major, PLEASE verify chrono through your gun before competing.

Shipping/Bulk Orders: It's been very difficult getting an accurate shipping rate automated for ammo. Our shipping options restricted, and weight is obviously a big factor. If only order 1 box, the Ammo Shipping option will give you an accurate quote. Up to 2500 rounds, the flat rate option will likely be cheaper. If are you ordering 2500 rounds or above, please visit the following link and submit the form to be added to the bulk list.
Age Restrictions Federal law (18 USC 922(b)(1), 27 CFR 478. 99(b)) requires that you must be 21 years or older to purchase handgun ammunition and 18 years or older to purchase rifle ammunition.
